Twisted Lies by Ana Huang - Book review

Image
I have reached the end of the twisted series with the last one "Twisted Lies" by Ana Huang. It's got a fake dating cliche followed by Stella Alonso and Christian Harper with a lot of twists that had me hooked from the beginning. The main characters are so lovable that it’s hard not to smile while reading about them. Twisted Lies is a long, slow-burn, spicy, and little dark romance. I would have loved it more if the book was short.  Stella is a social media influencer and a blogger and she works for a fashion magazine as her day job. Stella was a mystery in all the previous books. So it was very interesting to get to know her now. Christian is the billionaire CEO of Harper Security and cyber security expert. We first met Christian in twisted games as he was Rhys's boss and then in twisted hate , he let Stella and Jules move into his fancy apartment with the lower rent and he helps Jules with an issue she was facing with. This book made me say I loved Chri

Twisted Hate by Anand Huang - Book review

Twisted Hate by Ana Huang, is the third book in the twisted series, is an enemies to lovers novel between Ana's best friend "Jules" and Ana's brother "Josh." Both the characters had their individual back storylines. I had so many hopes for this book. But initially, the characters and the storyline was a huge turn off. From scene where we get a glimpse of Jules past, the story took an interesting turn and the ending was very good I enjoyed the whole scene of Jules and Josh with Ava and Alex. No matter how many things I didn’t like in this book but it has been a very enjoyable read. Jules surprised me as a character. I loved how the author didn’t write her as this weak female, but as a strong personality who didn’t let her past mistakes dictate her future. Her past was definitely an interesting twist I didn’t see coming but also loved Josh for being in love with Jules helped him get over his suppressed feelings, resolve issues with Alex and get c

Twisted Games by Ana Huang - Book Review

Image
Twisted games by Ana Huang, is the second book in the twisted series, is a romantic novel between a crown princess and her bodyguard. It is packed with mystery and suspense. I am impressed with the plot and the background story just as the first book. I enjoyed reading the first and the last parts but felt too bored towards halfway because I felt Rhys was overly obsessed with Bridget and the story was predictable and lengthy at times which can be skipped.  In Twisted love, we were introduced to the group of four friends - Ava, Bridget, Stella and Jules. The first book " Twisted Love " was about Ava and her brother's best friend Alex. "Twisted Games" is focused on Bridget's love story. In the first book, we ended up where Bridget - Princess of Eldorra, her bodyguard is going back to Eldorra as his wife is pregnant. And Bridget is getting a new bodyguard - Rhys Larsen.  Twisted games starts with Rhys starting as Bridget's new bodyguard. Rhys i

Twisted Love by Ana Huang is a dark, twisted suspense, romance that follows Ava and Alex who never thought would fall for each other but they do. There is a mystery surrounding both the characters throughout the story. Ava is caring and kind while she struggles with nightmares and phobias due to an event in her past. The story starts with Ava who know Alex for years as her brother's best friend. They never spoke with each other until one day when Josh (Ava's brother) asks Alex to pick up Ava. Josh has just left the country for work and he asks his best friend Alex to move into the house next door to look after Ava. Though Ava and Alex were never friends, Ava decided to welcome Alex by offering him cookies. And Alex starts to feel something in his chest for Ava. Then, Ava's friends decide to let Alex's emotions o

Book review - It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover

Before you start reading this review. This is the second book in the series, so if you have not yet read "It Ends With Us" make sure to check out my review of that here  It Ends With Us book review "It Starts With Us" by Colleen Hoover is a book filled with passion, love, heartbreak, joy and hope. This is a powerful and consoling story of second chance at love, life and trust. However, It Ends with Us will be one of my favorite books and I'm obsessed with the story of Lily, Atlas and Ryle. I liked this book, as Hoover's words of describing every detail of Lily's and Atlas's everyday life had me lost in the story. And after "It Ends With Us", a closure was required for many characters in the story. This book is all about moving forward, on how to live life with all the happenings in life. In "It Ends With Us" we saw the relationship between Lily and Ryle and how Atlas bumped into Lily's life again. Now in this serie

Book review - It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

"It Ends With Us" by Colleen Hoover is filled with so many emotions and I could not stop reading it. Everything about it is so perfect. So raw, powerful and it contains trigger warning for domestic abuse which will throw your emotions on exploring love, loss and abuse. Initially, I didn't expect too much from this book but halfway through it I was surprised by the darkness and how Lily goes through trauma and abuse with deep passion of love with Atlas. Lily Bloom's life wasn't that easy but that never stopped her from doing what she wanted in life. She had an abusive family with problems but then she met Atlas in her neighbourhood and he was homeless. Lily helped Atlas by giving him food and clothes. Gradually, they both became close. As days passed by they fell in love with eachother. But one day, Atlas decides to move to Boston where his uncle lives. It was a difficult situation for both of them to be apart. Years passed by but she didn't hear f
